Pool Installation - The Best Time to Install

Pool installation can happen at any time, but are there preferable seasons where it can benefit your pocketbook?

You have wrapped up the planning process, and now it's time to plan for installation. In choosing the best time to install, summer would be the worst option because this is the exact time you'll want to be enjoying the benefit of labors to make a pool a reality. With summer eliminated, you have Spring, Winter, or Fall in which to get the pool in the ground.

The most significant benefit of planning for a fall/winter install is the probability that you're going to save some money. As the year ends, you’re bound to get the lowest price before the new year material prices take effect. Besides, fall/winter is a period when the typical pool ‘guy’ finds themselves without a robust install schedule but with a mailbox full of invoices for products and materials. Pool companies utilize cost savings to entice buyers into timing the construction in slower months. It’s also a great time in September and October to install landscape such as grasses and shrubbery. There is a ton of disruption to your yard when you put in a pool, and allowing 4-6 months for the growth of new plantings is far better than just 1-2 months with a spring install.

Don't fret if spring is the only time you can fit construction in. You'll still reap the benefit of some savings, especially during January, February, and March. The only other reason for a spring installation in my mind is you won't spend months and months longing to enjoy your new pool.

Regardless of what month you decide to start your pool installation, what's known for sure is that once constructed, you'll be able to enjoy it for years to come!
