Pool Slides for Family Fun

One of the best things about swimming pool slides is they can be added later. The key is all in the planning!

Working within your budget, there may be some initial compromises that need to be made. If you choose to forego installing a slide upfront, it can easily be added later but a few things you need to know while you're still in the planning stages.

Location, location, location is the first rule in real estate and a great one in slide placement. First and foremost, it’s best to plan your slide where its position is facing what will be the congregating area. You'll want to see all the excitement on the faces of those using it. The second piece is making sure it's close to a water source. Slides use water from the pool, so having a second pump installed that runs from the filter equipment to the slide is a good idea. Looking into what type of slide you'd like while still in the planning stage can prove beneficial as slides have different pipe stub-up locations. The second thing to plan when choosing a location site is patio space. Most slides will need a minimum area of 8x15. You'll need enough patio space around the sides of the slide, so you're able to move freely without obstruction.

Swimming pool slides are a great addition to any backyard pool! With the proper planning and preparation, it can be added when the timing and budget permits!
